Rock Climbing

Skills & Development courses

There can be few sports other than rock climbing so singularly designed to encourage you to seek out and appreciate the most raw and adventurous parts of the natural world. With many lifetimes worth of travel, exploration, classic routes, incredible situations and potential development right on our own doorstep, not to mention the health and social benefits of climbing. Is it any wonder that for many people, rock climbing becomes a way of life?

In this modern age, climbing on an indoor wall is the first time many people encounter this expansive and welcoming sport, however, although artificial walls have their place for training and competition. They are still only an artificial representation of the range of movement, texture, shape and a thousand other variables that make rock climbing such a satisfying activity. How can a climbing wall replicate watching the 400million old quartzite you are scaling turn pink in the sunset, how can it reproduce feeling like you are fighting for your life with the sea crashing against cliffs below you, or ever make you feel like you do when reaching for the hand of your climbing partner as they top out on your first big mountain route.

EverydayClimbing focusses on Traditional Rock Climbing and Sport Climbing, which alongside Bouldering are the most accessible and widely practised forms of the sport in the UK. We offer a range of courses designed to help you to access this expansive sport. From tying in for the first time, to leading your first Extreme, our dedicated, professional instructors will be with you every step of the way.

If you are in interested in learning Scrambling or Mountaineering specific skills look at our courses here.

Traditionally, rock climbing was learned through a mentor, a more experienced hand passing information on to a student novice. We believe this should still be the case now, as even we still have our mentors that we occasionally bounce ideas off! Thats why, we offer that for anyone that joins us on any climbing development course, can contact us in the future for help or advice, forever!

It's our way of welcoming you to the community.

So, whatever your objective, EverydayClimbing is here to support you. Look though our popular options below, or contact us to discuss a personalised, tailored experience.
