Pre-requisites 
Some prior summer hillwalking experience required for the approach to and return from the crag. There are no easy rock-climbing routes on The old Man. You must ensure you meet our requirements for VS standard experiences or above. Please see our Grades Explained Page for more details.

Please contact us to discuss logistics regarding this route. Single day experiences typically start at 9am and finish at 4:30pm. Please note that remote crags or long routes require the experience to start earlier and finish later than this. You will be guided on the routes by an independently qualified, fully insured and competent Rock Climbing and Mountaineering Instructor. The instructor will select routes based on your experience, fitness and preferences and will aways try to give you several options. All climbing equipment required for the route and instruction on its use is included. Clients may use their own equipment following an inspection by the Instructor. Clients must ensure they bring appropriate clothing as listed on our kit list page.
