Overview
The Nevis gondola eases access to this route, a logical line up a big face in a wild situation. With snow sometimes present in June, this day often feels very Alpine in character.

Is it for me?
The Nevis Range gondola eases what would be a traumatic approach to this fantastic route high on the East face of Aonach Beag. However, even with the 600m of assisted height gain, the remaining approach is still rough and adventurous, in a remote and unjustifiably quiet corner of the Ben Nevis Massif.
Once on the route, An Cul Choire Headwall utilises good rock to link together an inspiring line on an appealing face. The climb is consistent throughout and with a qualified and experienced instructor guiding you, you will have the opportunity to attack all the fine, exposed sections of the route head on, making easy climbing moves in complete security hundreds of meters above the corrie floor. The line follows a steep gouge in the cliff, weaving across it to link fine sections of high quality scrambling. The route has several escape options along its length allowing the route to be cut short if required, making it a good option for those with limited scrambling experience.
The top of the route deposits us on the plateau summit of Aonach Beag and we are rewarded with panoramic views of the Mamores and the daunting North face of Ben Nevis. The route down from here is relatively easy, gently steepening plateau eventually intersecting paths alongside the Aonach Mor ski developments and eventually, the Gondola system home.
