Meet Our Team

Sam percival

I'm the face behind EverydayClimbing and work on most of the high level experiences and courses we run.

I'm a passionate climber and mountaineer and whether working or playing, I'm in the mountains most days. Alongside climbing, mountaineering and hillwalking, I love wild swimming and mountain biking... and also dabble in a bit of BASE jumping.

I have over 15 years of outdoor instructing experience behind me but still feel like I learn something new about the hills every day. For me, the limitless opportunity to improve and learn is what excites me about the high places. Whether it's discovering something about the environment itself, or how you can interact with it. Both journeys take you to some exceptional places and I'm passionate about sharing them with others.

amy buttress

Amy grew up in the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains and has spent her life exploring the area. After spending several years travelling and exploring the world, she's returned to her roots and now shares her passion for the upland environment with others; as a qualified mountain leader and rock climbing instructor.

Although Amy's main passion is traditional rock climbing, she's also an expert skier, and has been exploring the region each winter for over 20 years. Her personal aim is to combine these skills on ambitious ski-mountaineering routes. Her next professional objective is to gain the Mountaineering Instructor Award so she can improve the range of services she provides clients.

In her life outside the outdoor industry, she creates ceramic art, which is displayed in her family owned gallery, just north of Aviemore in Carrbridge.

Cal Wilson

Cahal Wilson cut his teeth on the short and fierce,  world renowned crags of Yorkshire, before moving and settling in the Highlands with his wife. As an instructor, he has worked all over the world, with mountain guiding in India and climbing guiding in Spain two of his personal highlights.

Like many professional instructors, Cahal has a diverse skill-set and is qualified in many different disciplines. In the winter months he finds himself drawn to snowboarding and has ridden in some spectacular environments from Europe to Japan.

Alongside his work of teaching, coaching and guiding in the UK mountains, Cahal runs Yoga retreats in The UK and Spain with his wife, Fay.

jack blundy

Jack escaped a life of desk work for a career in the outdoor industry around 5 years ago; and hasn't looked back. By his own admission, he was lucky to have some incredible and inspiring climbing partners early on and feels their mentorship helped him to see the potential of the sport.

Since then, he has climbed and worked UK wide, as far as the islands of Scotland to the South coast of England. He is excited by remote and committing climbing trips and uses climbing as a platform to explore the best parts of the world.

We are incredibly lucky to have Jack, his enthusiasm and passion is as infectious as it is obvious. He is renowned for being considerate and encouraging and after a day on the hills with him, its hard not to have a few of your own adventure travel plans simmering away!
